Some databases you might not know…

Most students are familiar with EBSCO’s database Academic Search Premier. Broad, interdisciplinary, scholarly articles – what more do you need?

The FSC Gallucci-Cirio library actually subscribes to over 100 different databases, offering specific, authoritative, scholarly content on many different subjects. Some you might not have heard of:

Biography Resource Center – Includes biographies for people in all disciplines, from pop culture to politics to the sciences, with full-text articles, images, and website links.

CREDO Reference – Why search one encyclopedia when you can search hundreds simultaneously? CREDO provides access to the full text of the best reference books, along with images, customizable data, visual concept maps of results, sound, maps, and more.

Literary Reference Center – Full-text information on 1000s of authors and their works across literary disciplines and timeframes. Includes plot summaries, synopses and work overviews, author biographies, literary journals, and full-text poems, short stories, and classic texts.
