FSU Faculty Ian Williams Honored for His Poetry

Congratulations to Fitchburg State’s own Ian Williams for being named as one of the “short list” candidates for the prestigious Griffin Poetry Prize!

The world’s largest prize for a first edition single collection of poetry written in, or translated into English, from any country in the world – the Griffin Trust For Excellence In Poetry aims to spark the public’s imagination and raise awareness of the crucial role poetry plays in our cultural life.”

Dr. Williams’ book, Personals, is one of three books on the Canadian short list, and includes poetry referencing Central Massachusetts. Read more about the award and Dr. Williams’ work here on the Griffin site.
